Hon bor i L.A. men är i Stockholm just nu för att spela in sitt debutalbum med svenska producenterna Bloodshy & Avant. Och medan vi stod i ösregnet och tittade på
MGMT passade jag på att fråga henne några saker.
Filippa Berg: Marit Bergman told me that you are recording a song together, tell me more...
Sky Ferreira: I didn't meet Marit till I got in, we just finished a song we did with Bloodshy and Avant. Its pretty cool. It has very cheerful and cute melody. Its about a robot suffering from heartbreak. A bit of "If I only had a heart"-Tin Man from Wizard of Oz type thing.
FB: How would you desciribe the sound of your music?
SF: Lyrically and vocally I have a sound. Production wise I couldn't really tell you though, because its been all over the place. Each day Im inspired by something different you know, also I don't think people need to buy an album that sounds the same from one song to another. Its a lot of genres within one genre...Pop.
FB: What was the latest thing that inspired you?
SF: Jet Lag and Youth!
FB:What do you think about Stockholm?
SF: Really nice, really clean, everyone here looks like supermodels and angels.Oh yeah, and they have really nice platform heels here? Whatsup with that? I've been trying to find some. All the ones I could actually afford are sold out!
FB:What are your three favourite places in L.A?
SF: My bed.Capitol Records.The cinema! MY FAVORITE PLACES IN LA BY FAR!
